The currency in the Republic of Ireland is the Euro (€), divided into 100 cents.
Banknote denominations: €5, €10, €20, €50, €100, €200, €500.
Banks are open Monday – Friday, 10:00 – 16:00 and provide bureau de change services.
Most larger hotels will also exchange travellers’ cheques and major currencies, always check the exchange rate.
