Night Moves Late Night Cafes | IL Forno

An innovative late-night cultural programme led and produced by Droichead Arts Centre, curated by singer/songwriter, SJ McArdle, in collaboration with Drogheda’s Night-Time Economy Adviser and supported by the Drogheda Purple Flag group. Championing a more diverse night-time offering and helping trial what a more balanced evening economy might look like.
Droichead are taking bookings on their website for the late-night cafes, but also encourage audiences to drop in on the night!
9.45PM:
Róisín Ward Morrow is a fiddle player and folk singer from Dromiskin, Co. Louth. She has released two lauded albums since 2019 and has worked with leading conductors including Gearoid Grant, David Brophy, Eimear Noone and Greg Beardsell. She has performed extensively in venues that include Dublin Castle, Dublin City Hall, The National Concert Hall, Carnegie Hall, The Royal Albert Hall and The White House.
10.30PM:
Edel Murphy is an Irish singer, actor and musician, described by Arts Review as having "a voice that would silence angels". On her forthcoming album Motherland Songs, Edel brings a heartfelt intensity and serenity in equal measure to new songs and to memorable female characters in songs by The Beatles, Dolly Parton, Kate Bush and Judy Collins. The album is produced by Irish musician Ewan Cowley, who will accompany Edel on the night.
11.15PM:
Caimin Hall is a deeply accomplished folk songwriter and veteran of legendary Drogheda-area bands like Harafish, The Great Okwardo and seven-piece supergroup The Cacks, who have just released their critically-acclaimed debut album Celebrity. Caimin is a multi-instrumentalist who plays fiddle, guitar, bouzouki and mandolin.

Produced by Droichead Arts Centre and delivered with various curators, promoters & alternative venues, supported and funded by the Night-Time Economy Advisor in Drogheda and the Arts Council. The programme encapsulates a vision of extending cultural offerings, fostering partnerships, & creating diverse opportunities for artists & audiences.
