Celebrating Heritage Week in Greenore 2026


Sunday 16th August

- Steam Engine on Euston Street in the afternoon.

- Afternoon Musical entertainment by Dundalk Ukulele Strummers

- Visit Railway/Maritime Museum, Miniature Model Railway & Victorian style Tearooms throughout the day.

Railway Historian Brian Todd presents “An Age of Steam Presentation”

Sunday 23rd August

- Afternoon Tea in Greenore Co-op Victorian Tearooms

- Musical entertainment provided on the piano by a talented young lady from Newry Miss Emma McNulty.

- Under the baton of choir mistress Clodagh, local choir “ Cor Chairlinne” will perform a few numbers from their extensive repertoire.


To conclude Heritage Week 2026 in Greenore they will have a showing in the Assembly Rooms, Greenore Co-op of the film “SAINTS & SINNERS” – filmed on location in Carlingford in 1949. Starring Kieron Moore. Directed by Leslie Arliss and based on a story by Paul Vincent Carroll.
