Join the Chartered Institute of Brewers and Distillers, CIBD Irish Section for a visit to the Great Northern Distillery in Dundalk.


Guests will be welcomed from 12:30 with light refreshments before a presentation from Great Northern Distillery, providing an overview of the distillery’s operations and its role in Ireland’s modern whiskey industry.


Attendees will then take part in a guided tour of the distillery, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the scale and technology behind the distillery.


The afternoon will conclude with a talk from Frank O’Callaghan of the Old Dundalk Society, exploring Dundalk’s rich brewing heritage. Brewing in the town dates back more than three centuries, when dozens of small breweries served the local population.


This event offers a chance to explore both the past and present of brewing and distilling in Dundalk, while networking with fellow industry professionals in a relaxed setting.
