The Drogheda Songwriting Festival is delighted to announce its 2026 programme.

Now in its third year, the festival is a two-day event for songwriters of all genres and abilities which takes place on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September in The Barbican Centre, Drogheda, and promises two days of songwriting and creativity where participants can get inspired, collaborate and create something new with top class mentors.

The festival's mentor team has expanded, with the addition of some world-class talent to provide some insightful and inspiring workshops:

Colm Gavin: The Art of Writing to Pitch

Áine Tyrrell: Write To Rise

Maria McCormack: Transforming Real Life Stories into Powerful Songs

David Hope: Finding Fun in Creativity

Two of the most experienced mentors, SJ McArdle and Keith Burke, will be on hand during the Sunday in their Song Surgery to help songwriters polish their songs till they sparkle.

Participants will get the chance to perform their new creations at the festival's closing event – the Gala Concert, where one song will be awarded “The Clare Corrigan Award” and given a day in a professional recording studio with Daniel de Búrca in Jejune studios.

This award is presented in recognition & memory of Clare Corrigan from Blackrock. A prolific songwriter & dedicated supporter of the Drogheda songwriting festival.
