BVIFF are delighted to welcome Fran Bravo to facilitate this unique workshop in Character Design. Fran is a Spanish Annie Award Nominee Art Director and Illustrator based in Kilkenny. He has worked at Cartoon Saloon since 2017 and is Art Director on Puffin Rock, Silly Sundays and Natu Natu. He was Design Supervisor on Amazon's Pete the Cat, and Director of Ondino. He has illustrated over 30 books. His style ranges from traditional media such as watercolours and gouache to digital media, and he is focused on designing funny and heartwarming characters that connect with young audiences. His projects include Puffin Rock, Natu Natu, Silly Sundays, Dorg Van Dango and Pete the Cat.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Boyne Valley, the Boyne Valley International Film Festival (BVIFF) returns from the 7-9 August for its fifth year in partnership with LOVE Drogheda BIDS. Creating an environment for filmmakers and audiences to connect and celebrate film in the historical medieval town of Drogheda, located in the heart of the Boyne Valley Region.
