Three years ago, my world changed dramatically following a cancer diagnosis and I faced a long battle with an unsure outcome. My life became very restricted. I had isolation and solitude in abundance which gave me plenty of time to focus my thoughts, and on good days I began to paint. My immediate environment, along with memories of family, friends, and of past and present experiences, became my main inspiration. I painted to please myself. This is an exhibition of the works that I completed during that difficult time and a celebration of the fact that I am still here— against the Odds!!! Each painting tells a story.
