Port Beach

Port Beach, Lurganboy, Clogherhead, County Louth, Ireland

Port Beach is located a few kilometres north of the fishing village of Clogherhead. It is a popular destination in summer due to its Blue Flag status and Lifeguards patrol the beach during bathing season. Check notice board locally for Lifeguard Timetable.

While Port Beach is perfect for sunny summer days, it’s just as magical all year round. The beach is backed by dunes and has a peaceful atmosphere with stunning coastal views, making it an ideal spot for a walk. Enjoy the sea air, the sound of the waves, and the beautiful coastal landscape.

The beach is a haven for nature lovers, home to diverse flora and fauna, including the rare Marsh Orchid. Even in the colder months, it remains a tranquil spot to connect with nature.
