To celebrate 150 years since the founding of the Great Northern Railway (Ireland) the Railway Preservation Society of Ireland are running two special trains along its premier route the Dublin to Belfast mainline with the 1913 built former GNR(I) locomotive No. 171 Slieve Gullion.

The special trains will run from Dublin Connolly to Dundalk and return, with a break in Dundalk. And they are offering a local trip from Dundalk to Drogheda and return 🚂
