Leanbh Children's Festival

One of Droichead Art Centres yearly highlights, the LEANBH arts festival for children, young people and families in Drogheda and the North East Region, is returning once again over the midterm in October.

WORKSHOP PROGRAMME FOR SCHOOLS 

Part of Leanbh is the Schools Outreach and this year Circus 250 will be in residence for a week, and  will deliver Circus Workshops for schools in Drogheda & East Meath from 21st – 25th October.  Participants will make their own circus props, learn to build an aerial circus rig and more.

STRONG WOMEN SCIENCE 

Saturday 19th October at 2pm, find out how jugglers, acrobats and hula hoop artists use science to create their amazing acts when StrongWomen Aoife and Maria of CIRCUS250 reveal the scientific secrets behind their astounding tricks.

THROUGH YOUR EYES | PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION 

Opening Friday 18th October and running in the gallery space until Sunday 3rd November, THROUGH YOUR EYES, a photographic exhibition by young people, women, parents and toddlers, senior citizens and the men’s shed, with the Family Resource Centre, Laytown will cover themes such as identity and pride in your locale and community.  All Welcome.

THE SPOOKS PARADE | SAMHAIN NIGHT FEVER - DISCO AIN’T DEAD! | FROM BARLOW HOUSE |  LAUNCHING THE LÚ FESTIVAL OF LIGHT

Friday 25th October at 6.15pm this year's SPOOKS PARADE: Samhain Night Fever, Disco Ain't Dead! in partnership with Kada KaBoom Arts is set to light up the ancient streets of Drogheda with dance moves and groovy grooves, as it makes its way right through the heart of the town.

OUT OF THE BLUE

2pm Saturday 26th October OUT OF THE BLUE from Circus 250 will wash away your troubles with the wonderfully subversive and interactive circus show by leading female clown, Fra Marto, all about doing the laundry.

JOE THE MAGICIAN

At 3pm Sunday 3rd November, Joe the Magician from RTÉjr brings his spectacular children’s comedy magic and illusion show back to Droichead for an afternoon of mind boggling spectacular fun!
