TradTrail features the very finest local and national traditional acts in well-loved bars in Drogheda, The Punt, Barney Macs, and the Pheasant, across February, March and April.

Along with other acts to be announced, February 9 will feature Snakebite, a musical duo comprising Mick Hussey (guitar & vocals) and Mick Dunne (mandolin and banjo). The duo have been playing together for over ten years and their musical repertoire is fun and uplifting with a surprising mix of bluegrass, Irish ballads and popular songs from the American songbook. 

On March 15 and April 26 Louth fiddler, composer and singer Róisín Ward Morrow will join forces with frequent collaborator Breifne Holohan (guitar, bouzouki), breathing new life into ancient melodies and developing Róisín’s own haunting compositions.

On Feb 9 and April 26,  Droghedas own,  fiddle player  Síle Ryan (GRAND ,Robbed And Lynched ,Co Director of Trad Folkin' Rocks)  joined by good friend renowned guitar player Ian Kinsella (Saltaire ,De Dannan,Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin Band ) welcome you for a night celebrating their shared musical influences from their combined decades of experience performing, recording and promoting Irish music both at home and internationally . Expect lively tunes, wild stories, haunting airs and an evening of fun highlighting the scope of the Irish tradition.

Tradify with Drogheda’s very own Darragh O’Heiligh will play all three dates, creating an irresistible soundscape, where the bold rhythm of the Bouzouki, the mesmerizing harmonies of the whistle, and the powerful presence of uilleann pipes intertwine, their vibrant arrangements drawing inspiration from Spain, America, and Ireland.

Night Moves - An innovative & dynamic programme designed to provide new & engaging night time cultural experiences across Drogheda & East Meath. Produced by Droichead Arts Centre, and delivered with curators SJ McArdle, Brian Hegarty, 33-45, Brenda McComesky & Dorothy Smith, promoters & alternative venues, and in partnership with Love Drogheda BIDS, supported by the Arts Offices in Louth & Meath County Councils, and the newly established Night-Time Economy Advisor in Drogheda. The programme encapsulates our vision of extending cultural offerings, fostering partnerships, & creating diverse opportunities for artists & audiences alike, and is funded under the Arts Council’s Late Night Events (Pilot Programme) in partnership with the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sports and Media.
