Heritage walk of former Victorian Railway Village of Greenoe

Walk and Talk of the former unique Victorian Railway Village which was opened in 30th April, l873, and was a purposely built self contained Railway Village.

Guides dress in the period costume of the era and tell the stories of the village in the Victorian era, the Railway and its buildings, the Port of Greenore and its voyages to Holyhead up to closure of the railway and passenger service in l951.

Visit the model miniature railway display (which featured in the tv programme Ionrad Enda in May 21) housed in Greenore Co-op, the only publicly accessible building which is preserved to detail and also houses a Victorian style tea-rooms.

The tour lasts approx. l - l ½ hrs.
