Carling Camino offer Guided Walking / Hiking Tours (Camino Style) of Carlingford and the Greater Carlingford Lough region. This includes the Cooley Mountains, Slieve Foye, the Cooley Peninsula, Ravensdale and the Greater Slieve Gullion Region - Designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With a bit of local history and folklore along 'The Way'.
We offer both looped and linear walks. Walks range from 5km average to the typical Camino distances which can be up to 10, 15 or even 20km per day. Walks can be catered to a group's ability.
Camino training weekends for groups are available also. We cater to stags and hens groups in the form of day and weekend packages.
All groups and individuals receive a certificate of completion for each walk as part of the 'Spirit of the Camino'. We do encourage those as part of our Spirit of the Camino ethos to try and complete 100km over numerous walks at which time they will receive a unique 100km Carlingford Camino Medal.
All walks will be mapped using GPS and a short route video will be provided as a memento. It will be a day of adventure and craic, we will take breaks along the routes to admire the views and highlight any landmarks and any interesting local history along the way.
Starting points can vary from local hotels around the area and from a designated meeting point in Carlingford Village. We have a variety of walks which give you the option to finish at a local hospitality establishment around the region to celebrate your adventure.
