Money

The unit of currency in the Republic of Ireland is the euro (€).  There are 100 cents in a euro and notes are issued in the following denominations: €5, €10, €20, €50, €100, €200 and €500.

Banks

(open 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday) offer a bureau de change service.  Most of the larger hotels will exchange travellers' cheques and the main currencies for you, though remember to always check the exchange rate.
